St Davids Bishops Palace
Client: CADW / The Welsh Government
Goal: Improve the offer of these historic ruins as a paid visitor attraction, especially for families and younger children.
Delivery: We made every part of the site interesting, with a mixture of artist’s impressions, dramatised audio, huge freestanding lightboxes in the undercrofts, and a children’s trail that collected clues to find the bishop’s goblet. The stories focused on exploring medieval life and society rather than just explaining the magnificent architecture.
Result: After a four-month turnaround between appointment and completion, the Palace has become a hit with visitors of all ages.
